Yoga Notecards from Rodmell Press Fred Stimson, Photographer   ISBN 0-9627138-3-X | $12.95 greeting cards | 8 cards 4 1/2" x 6 1/8"	About the Photographer   Fred Stimson, a noted California photographer, learned the technical skills of his craft from his teacher and mentor, Irving Penn. As a nature photographer, his work has appeared in National Geographic and the American Wilderness Book Series (Time Life, 1974). As a techno-surrealist, his still-life studies have graced the covers of PC World, MacUser, and MacWorld. As a portrait photographer, Fred is known for his powerful black-and-white studies of public figures, such as George Moscone, Lyle Lovett, and Tuck and Patti. From 1990-1993, Fred brought his intense clarity of vision to a classic series of calendars for Yoga Journal. The images selected for Yoga Notecards from Rodmell Press have been chosen from his calendar photos. In addition, his photographs appear throughout the interior and on the cover of Relax and Renew by Judith Hanson Lasater, Ph.D., P.T., and on the cover of Back Care Basics by Mary Pullig Schatz M.D.   Currently, Fred teaches photography at California Polytechnic State University, in San Luis Obispo, California. In addition, he is a chaplain at Twin Cities Hospital, in Templeton, California, and at several nursing homes in the area.
